Already an experienced electrician, Will saw the need to reduce carbon emissions, and trained to install electric car chargers. He met Steve,  who offered the practical know how to both manage a business and manage the day to day. EV Miles Ltd was born!

Their shared interest in renewable energy and electrics led them to develop the company and to start installing solar thermal and solar photo-voltaic panels. They were now known as Solar Home, interested in energy solutions for households.

They soon realised that without battery storage their customers were not able to make savings on their bills and recoup the costs of their installations. They now install a battery with each solar PV installation. 

The latest addition to their business is air source heat pumps.

‘The dream combination is solar panels and battery storage, with a heat pump’ said Will. ‘It makes sense to charge your car once your house is efficiently heated and provided with electrical energy through your solar array’.
